Viola Farber Award

Viola Farber Award The Viola Farber Award was established and is supported, in part, by a multi-year gift from 2010 Dance Grantee Pam Tanowitz in memory of dancer, choreographer, teacher, and director Viola Farber, who served on FCA’s Board of Directors (1969-1988). This $45,000 award was endowed by FCA with proceeds raised at its 60th Anniversary Gala. It is made annually through FCA’s Grants to Artists program to a dancer working in New York City in recognition of outstanding achievement that reflects Farber’s innovative artistry and dedication. The inaugural award was made in 2024.
