About this grant

Busk in Londonwas set up in 2015 by the Mayor of London to help make busking in London as easy as possible by cutting red tape, tackling misconceptions about street performance and encouraging landowners to open up spaces where street performance can take place. We want every young musician to have the chance to reach their full potential. Our street performance programmes help do just that. What better way to hone your craft and get your music heard by performing to thousands every day? Here are some of the ways we're helping them to shine. ## Busk in London [...] ## Gigs - showcasing the talent of the future Gigs- Danny Starr We're helping the next generation of musicians get out there and be heard! The Mayor's annual young buskers competition, in association with Gibson, turns some of the captial's busiest and most iconic locations into stages for upcoming musical talent, including, St Paul's Cathedral, major rail stations, Westfield London, London Underground, Wembley Park, Battersea Power Station and Trafalgar Square.
