Film and Video Umbrella

Film and Video Umbrella commissions, produces and curates moving-image works by artists. We are excited to launch Tgirls Make Music by Lucy Rose Shaftain-Fenner on FVU Watch this month as part of FVU New Takes. Tgirls Make Music is a documentary about trans woman rapper and producer htmljones (Ishaani Ponniah), framed through the visual language of early-2000s television, 2010s internet aesthetics, and contemporary British culture. FVU:LAB is delivered in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University and provides opportunities for four emerging moving image artists to work with cutting edge technologies at NTU’s new Design and Digital Arts building.
