Berlin Visual Arts Residency 2027 Applications open: Monday, 2 February 2026 Applications close: 1:00 PM (NZ time) on Monday, 2 March 2026 Results due: Wednesday, 8 April 2026 Residency period: 15 January 2027 - 15 December 2027 The Residency supports an established New Zealand visual artist to live and work in Berlin for up to 12 months from January 15 - December 15, 2027. The residency is to enable a New Zealand visual artist to: develop their artistic practise develop their potential through exposure to new cultures and new ideas act as an ambassador and increase awareness of New Zealand visual arts in Berlin To apply, you must: be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident have a strong national reputation as a visual artist, which means you have: - received critical recognition for your work, or - completed a body of work acknowledged for its artistic excellence You must be available to base yourself in Berlin between 15 January and 15 December 2027.
