### The reality for artists in London is pretty bleak right now. Here are a few awards, residencies, mentorships and other opportunities that could help. [...] The Gilchrist-Fisher Award, established in 1987 in memory of Alasdair Gilchrist-Fisher, celebrates his love of life and landscape painting. Open to artists under 30, it recognises work exploring the theme of ‘landscape’. Originally a painting prize, it now accepts all media except video and installation. Past winners include Peter Doig and Angela Hughes.
